Jindal: Romney Comments “Absolutely Wrong”

Interesting that Gov. Bobby Jindal seems to already be separating himself from the failed Republican ticket. Another fair weather friend.

While the party certainly needs young guns, especially minorities, it didn’t take Jindal very long to turn against his party’s nominee. Perhaps he has some interests of his own.

From Yahoo! News:

LAS VEGAS–Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal criticized former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday for saying that he lost the 2012 election to President Barack Obama in part because Democrats promised “gifts” to minority groups, calling Romney’s remarks “absolutely wrong.”

According to The Los Angeles Times, Romney told donors on a conference call after the election that the Obama campaign “focused on giving targeted groups a big gift” and was “very generous” to ethnic minorities and young voters. Speaking to reporters here at an annual meeting of Republican governors, Jindal said such rhetoric could divide voting groups.

“I think that’s absolutely wrong,” Jindal said. “We have got to stop dividing the American voters. We need to go after 100 percent of the votes, not 53 percent. We need to go after every single vote. … So I absolutely reject that notion, that description. I think it’s absolutely wrong. I don’t think that represents where we are as a party, where we’re going as a party. That has got to be one of the most fundamental takeaways from this election.”

  1. I am a woman from KY and Governor Romney was absolutely RIGHT in what he said. Obama promised free birth control to the women, free “Obamaphones” to the ones on government assistance, forgave student loan interest payments to the young, immigration amnesty to the minority groups and “illegals”…………… Shall we continue this conversation Governor Jindal?????????

  2. Once again a clear example of GOP “leaders” placating the left and and selling out on the truth.

  3. Kurt Fxyz says:

Bobby Jindal as well as Marco Rubio are now entering the “light version” of my GOP-shit-list (still hoping that they don’t totally lose their minds and find their way off the list…)
Both are attacking Mitt Romney because of his comment that the Failure-in-Chief won with giving away “freebies”. Mitt Romney is right (although it was not the only reason. The fat Islam- and Shariah loving Chris Christie..ohm…Islamie who handed Obama a first-class campaign-event was a big nail in the Romney-campaign-coffin. This fat douch-bag is now also attacking Romney for being “divisive”. He seems to forget that his new Boyfriend in the White House is the one who is the most divisive person ever in the White House).
The GOP – or let’s better say: the conservative side (which very often the GOP is NOT) has the better product, just the marketing isn’t right. In changing the product to a copy of the Democraps doesn’t win new clients (voters) because they’ll vote for the original, especially when the original will be able to outdo the copy in freebies and promises. With a move to center-left, the GOP will never, ever win more new center-left voters than they will lose voters from their basis. It will be a NET-loss on voters!
SO, giving the better product a good marketing strategy will make the GOP win elections – it worked 2010 and it will work again if the GOP sticks to it’s values and with sticking to the values I mean not only talking about in campaigns but also living it in office! Educate the people (grassroot, grassroot, grassroot) and show all the positive sides of the product but don’t try to change it!
