Join the staff of WatchDog Wire, a project of The Franklin Center, for a tweet-up with Tucker Carlson of The Daily Caller!

WHERE: Twitter.com or your Twitter app, using #WDWTU
WHAT: We will be discussing media trends for 2013 with Tucker Carlson of The Daily Caller, including what you should watch for this coming year. And of course, we may even get to ask how he gets “the scoop” for the big stories.

If you’re asking yourself, “how does a tweet-up work?” that’s ok — you’re not alone. Tweet-ups are still a rather new phenomenon in social media, but they are becoming very popular.

During a tweet-up, an organization or a person (in this case, WatchDog Wire) advertises a twitter hashtag (ours will be #WDWTU for “watchdog wire tweet-up”), and schedules a time to have a “tweet-up” when people can meet on twitter under that hashtag. You have a moderator and a guest, and the moderator asks questions to guide the conversation, the guest answers, and everyone has an opportunity to engage the guest with questions or reply to one another.

Just make sure you tweet with #WDWTU during the conversation so that we will see your tweets. We don’t want to miss them! And, you may want to take a moment and follow the watchdogs tweeting with #WDWTU — it’s always great to grow your network with like-minded individuals.

All you need to know how to do is go to twitter.com, log in to your Twitter account, and type #WDWTU in the search bar at the top. Follow along, reply or ask questions using #WDWTU, and enjoy!
