Agenda 21: planning and pilot programs currently in America
Agenda 21, also known as “sustainable development,” is the action plan to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all information, all energy, and all human beings in the world. It was signed onto in 1992 by President George HW Bush along with 178 other world leaders.
It is truly amazing how these Agenda 21 concepts have been weaved into local governments throughout the US and are being implemented right under the taxpayers’ noses. And, most are completely unaware. There are four initial pilot programs going on right now in Denver, Atlanta, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area. The pilot areas were selected by regional agencies, empowered by elected officials who appointed them, and are unconstitutional. So how did all this happen?
Many local governments, in violation of the U.S. Constitution, have entered into international alliances with ICLEI through various UN initiatives and programs. Agenda 21 and sustainable development are examples of UN programs. This discussion will focus on the San Francisco Bay Area known as the “One Bay Area Plan.”In California, various environmental and other non-governmental organizations (NGO) groups have been very active politically in their attempts to reduce carbon emissions, such as green house gases (GHGs). The two main bodies pushing the “One Bay Area Plan” are the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), and they have been at this for more than 20 years.
The MTC and ABAG were also major influencers involved in passing key legislation in the state of California that are in direct support of Agenda 21 and sustainable development. The three main pieces of legislation that are being implemented in California to complete the Agenda 21 transformation and social re-engineering of our lives are AB32, SB375 and AB2785.
The Global Warming Act (AB32) was passed in 2006, and it requires a reduction in GHGs to 1990 levels by 2020 with oversight, monitoring and enforcement by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). It also includes plans to conduct an auction of carbon permits as it launches an ambitious cap-and-trade program as part of its AB 32 legislation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The Sustainable Communities Strategy (SB375) was passed in 2008. It links land use to transportation and directs regional agencies to create blueprints focusing development in Priority Development Areas (PDAs) next to mass transit for the purpose of reducing GHGs. Do you see now why Sacramento fell in love to the giant money hole also known as “the train to nowhere?”
The California Essential Habitat Connectivity Map (AB2785) was passed in 2010. This bill is also referred to as the California Wildlands Act and it provides many maps of the intended wildlife corridor system throughout California (see the previous article on “rewilding”). This document is currently being implemented as part of Agenda 21 right under the taxpayers’ noses. How many know about it?
On a global scale there are more examples of Agenda 21 and sustainable development being implemented. One example is in Brazil where the UN has been bulldozing people’s homes, against their will. This is just another land grab similar to what is going on in the bay area of California.
Another example is the idea of China obtaining US land for relief of our debt. Most people would think these ideas were crazy. That’s if they knew about them. But they don’t. And that’s the biggest part of this problem. The key to fighting this is informing and educating people. There are lots of resources, including the references listed below, that can help.
