Benghazi: Obama’s indecision was his decision
Stacy Rush shares what her military sources has to say about Benghazi and President Obama’s actions that night.
In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do. The worst thing you can do is nothing.- Theodore Roosevelt
In the article, The Real Story: Why Obama was MIA During Benghazi, light is shed upon the political backdrop immediately preceding the terrorist attack and the tactics used to attack, delay and mislead the american public about Benghazi.
Additional details emerged from Defense Secretary Panetta who testified that after notifying President Obama of the Benghazi situation, the president remained MIA from 5:00 p.m. the day of the attack until his Rose Garden address the next morning. The president’s actions suggesting management of campaign fallout in the “reelection war room” took precedence over managing real-time intelligence reports in the White House Situation Room.
President Obama maintains he issued “clear directives” to do “whatever we need to” securing the safety of those under attack. However, additional testimony from Secretary Panetta contradicts Obama’s claim.
Lindsay Graham asked “…did anybody leave any base anywhere to go to the aid of the people under attack in Benghazi, Libya before the attack ended?” Panetta responded “No, because the attack ended before they could get off the ground.”
Interesting response. I was unaware of Secretary Panetta’s psychic abilities allowing for precise knowledge of when the Benghazi attack would cease.
The U.S. is blessed with the most elite and disciplined military in the world; thus, Panetta’s timeline excuse did not pass the smell test. To confirm we had not lost one-fifth of our senses, we reached out to military personnel to put into proper context the events unfolding Sep. 11, 2012, beginning with military Chain of Command (CofC).
Military orders are passed through the (CofC) from higher to lower ranks, the POTUS residing at the top of the chain. An order when issued, travels down to the appropriate rank level for its execution. Failure to execute an order, or breaking the Chain of Command is considered insubordination.
Obviously, not every order rises to the level of the Presidency; however situations occur where ONLY the president can issue the order required to act. Cross Border Authority (CBA) is one such situation.
According to Breitbart News, former SEAL Matt Bracken defines Cross Border Authority as “the (Presidential) order for the military to cross a nation’s border without that nation’s permission.” Bracken goes on to say “no general or admiral will risk being hung out to dry for undertaking a mission-gone-wrong that the POTUS later disavows ordering.”
When issued, Cross Border Authority, leaves a paper trail. However, to date no such order has been produced by the White House. The lack of its presence underscores how the most elite military in the world could have assets ready, yet they were not deployed.
The CIA, State and Defense Departments each had personnel involved in Benghazi, thus understanding how these agency’s fit into the military Chain of Command is beneficial in uncovering the truth.
According to our retired Special Forces resource, “….neither the CIA nor the State Department is included within the military’s CofC. The CIA and State Department advise the President on intelligence and foreign policy matters, but they do not exert any control over the military.”
Ex Navy SEALS Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were stationed at a CIA annex located closely to the Benghazi Consulate. At the attack’s inception, they sent urgent word to the Tripoli US Embassy.
According to Ex SEAL Bracken, and confirmed by our military source, “dozens of headquarters — including AFRICOM and EUROCOM — are notified so they can begin their planning for rescue operations.” He continues, saying “there is one thing (the military) cannot do without explicit orders from the president: cross an international border on a hostile mission.”
Based on the importance Cross Border Authority plays in a successful rescue mission, many conclude President Obama’s MIA status on the night of the terrorist attack was by design.
Adding to this theory, the number of stand down orders issued to ex SEALS Woods and Doherty.
Fox News reported “…an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate…was denied by the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators twice to “stand down” rather than help the ambassador’s team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.”
Woods and Doherty valiantly ignored the stand down orders, instead deciding to do the right thing, the honorable thing, taking action and paying the ultimate price.
Woods and Doherty’s sacrifice resulted in 20-30 people from the State Department being saved who otherwise likely would have perished alongside Ambassador Stevens and Sean Smith.
For seven hours, the ex SEALS fought off their attackers, praying help was on its way. For as our military resource so eloquently put it, “as a soldier you are taught when under arms and under orders for Uncle Sam, the U.S. has your back. If you need support the full force of the available military will be brought to your rescue.”
Unfortunately for Woods and Doherty, this was not to be the case under President Obama’s watch.
So many questions remain unanswered::
- Why was Cross Border Authority not issued?
- Where exactly was the POTUS during the first terrorist attack on a U.S. Consulate in over 30 years?
- Why were stand down orders issued and who issued them?
- Who are the 20-30 attack survivors and where are they?
President Obama, aided by a complicit MSM, shows no interest in answering questions surrounding the Benghazi terrorist attack. Last week, during a Google chat forum, President Obama whose arrogance knows no bounds, said:
Benghazi “was largely driven by campaign stuff, because everything about that, we’ve had more testimony and more paper provided to Congress than ever before and Congress is sort of running out of things to ask.”
This is where you are wrong Mr. President. The American people have not run out of Benghazi questions, and in fact, we have more. We will honor the men and families of Stevens, Smith, Woods and Doherty pressuring congress to hold you accountable for your failure as Commander-in-Chief: your failure to make the right decision, instead choosing to do nothing.
