Have Hollywood Anti War Protesters Disappeared?

Hollywood anti war protesters were seeing blood during the Iraq war. Now that the man they helped put in the White House is threatening war with Syria, they’re MIA. What gives?

Sheehan SarandonThis isn’t complicated. In an embarrassing display of hypocrisy, Hollywood anti war celebrities aren’t protesting President Obama’s proposed war with Syria. It’s funny how this same group of “peace lovers” couldn’t scream loud enough about the atrocities of President Bush, but now that it’s Obama’s war, there’s no reason to talk about it. In fact, many of the most principled in Hollywood’s anti war faction are defending Obama’s outrageous actions. Go figure. And we all just thought Republicans loved war.

Does anyone remember Susan Sarandon joining Cindy Sheehan, the infamous anti-war activist, whose son died in Iraq protesting together in 2006? It was the perfect blending of Hollywood anti-war fanatics fighting for a “just” cause. In this particular instance, Sarandon was protesting outside of the White House with Sheehan in a show of solidarity. And more importantly, a show of liberal solidarity against Bush the warmonger.

But how quickly everything changes in a few short years. Actually, the Hollywood anti-war crowd has been on hiatus since 2008. Incidentally, this perfectly coincides with President Obama’s election. Is this a coincidence? Only a conservative would see the irony in how the stars have aligned for Hollywood’s anti-war crowd to suddenly shut their mouths.

They’ve been neutralized. Besides Sarandon, where is Ed Asner, Alec Baldwin, Jessica Lange, Sheryl Crow, Janeane Garofalo, and Danny Glover? Where are all the celebrities who signed a “Not in Our Name” pledge against Bush in 2002 for daring to go to war in Iraq? They’ve vanished into thin air. Gone. Not that this is upsetting, but the reasoning is more than telling.

They can’t speak up about Syria because Obama is black. And he’s the most liberal President this country has ever had. But his actions lately show him to be every bit the “warmonger” that these hypocrites called Bush. But Bush was decisive and secure in his decisions. Obama’s complete incompetency is showing itself in the Syria situation. He doesn’t know what to do. He’s like a kid who’s never played football starting as an NFL quarterback. He’s out of his league.

Ed Asner, one of Hollywood’s most obnoxious liberals, if that’s even possible, had this to say. He lays it out clearly. But funny, he’s still blaming Bush.ed_asner_mike_farrell_a_l

We had a million people in the streets, for Christ’s sake, protesting Iraq, which was about as illegal as you could find. Did it matter? Is George Bush being tried in the high courts of justice?” asks Asner. “We’ve been so God-damned stung in this country by false wars, repeatedly, that, how can you believe in any just war with the history we have had?”

But what does this have to do with Obama’s war? Nothing, but this is the typical liberal tactic, to keep blaming Bush. Twenty years from now liberals will be doing the same thing. But what he says next is reason why the anti-war left is stunned into silence.

A lot of people don’t want to feel anti-black by being opposed to Obama,” he said.

This IS the answer. It would be racist to oppose Obama. Right or wrong doesn’t matter. Team Obama has the perfect set up because being branded a racist is much worse for a liberal than protesting a war. Especially for peace happy Hollywood. And seeing as how liberals love to play the race card more than any other group of people on the planet, they’re now hamstrung. How lovely, and how telling of their true motivations.

It would be just desserts if these lying, thieving hypocrites could have their actions exposed to the light of truth. But that isn’t likely to happen anytime soon. They’ll pick their battles based on what best serves their purposes. And they’ll bow to King Obama and he’ll use them for his own gain. And the cycle of liberal hypocrisy will continue until the next crisis. And let’s just hope for their sake the next President is white so they can protest if there’s a war. Unless he’s a die-hard liberal and then their hands will be tied.

everything going on in politics is a farce, this land we call usa or usa/britian empire is the land of christendom, this warmongering, lying, and power grabs, agenda 21 implementation by the governments of this empire all smacks of nimrod, (he was a really creepy guy who’s name nimrod means rebellion)who was in oppistion to Jehovah, he was a mighty hunter in that he was a hunter of humans, military campaigns as it were (no doubt not in self defense either)so christendom and her supporters are guilty of massive blood shed, so I am not surprised by this hypocrisy it is still disheartening as I can’t stand liars and cheaters. if we wait for man to achieve peace and security it will never happen daniel 2:44, psalms 37, and 2 shows we won’t have to wait for that time, Jehovah himself will rid the earth of wicked people and peace cna prevail once again this time forever.
